Heaven in the Haven of Peace

In this memoirs, I have described the circumstances why my father moved to Bombay and how my mother got married to my father! We are three brothers and seven sisters, who have spent some part of our early childhood living together in Tanzania. The life was full of activities and we had unforgettable times. Thinking back to our childhood make us feel that we lived in heaven. Our parents had moved from India in 1947 to Dar es Salaam, (in Arabic, haven, house or harbour of peace), Tanganyika. After the country’s independence, the whole family moved out to Europe.  We have lot of good memories while we lived in house no 35 on Uhuru Street in Dar es Salaam.

I had four exhibits in Svenska Quilt akademi: landscape, my garden, cushion cover and quilted bag. Exhibition is on until 14 th June.

Knitted vest with HIV structure

In 90’s I was involved in HIV research. I was so engrossed in the project, I knitted a vest with HIV structure.

Here in Uppsala, Sweden, this week a radio group is hosting 7 days program for gathering money for halting the spread of AIDS. This vest is my contribution to this program. It will be on sale in an auction together with other items.
